Stop delegating your thinking to the group. It doesn’t make the point you think it does. Instead, it shows your inability to form opinions of your own

Perhaps the group is right, it sometimes is; however, if your solution to every argument you’re losing is to quote what the group thinks, you are in fact just a robot.

Form your own opinions, think for yourself, have strong opinions even but not so strong that new information is unable to penetrate. Sometimes you’ll be wrong and that’s a good thing but be wrong for opinions you formed, not for those another man told you to believe
